The Medical City

Department of Medicine

Section of Infectious Diseases

The Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training Program of The Medical City (TMC) is the youngest of all seven training programs in the Philippines. This fellowship program is the response of TMC and its faculty to the increasingly greater role the ID specialty plays in the national and global healthcare landscape. Created with a vision to produce the new breed of ID and public health leaders of tomorrow, the TMC ID program has a comprehensive training curriculum with a very broad platform of exposures to experience delivery of health services to various patient populations, supplemented with the special touch of TMC brand of patient partnership. It is run collaboratively by a committed faculty and emphasizes teamwork and leadership building. Unique to the TMC program are: access to world class laboratory and diagnostic capabilities, existing private-public partnership in key national ID programs, and the network of hospitals and satellite clinics nationwide where trainees of the program can integrate upon graduation. With two fellows starting last June 2019, the program aims to accept two trainees per year. .
