Multidisciplinary Gathering on the Past, Current and Future Trends in Hand Hygiene

Hand Hygiene is a basic but very important measure in preventing the spread of infection in hospitals and in the community. However, despite the continuous campaign to promote hand hygiene, compliance especially among healthcare workers is still low. On November 20, 2018 at Blue Leaf, Taguig City, in cooperation with B Braun and Aesculap-Academy, the Multidisciplinary Gathering on the Past, Current and Future Trends in Hand Hygiene was conducted. This was attended by healthcare practitioners from different sectors, as they listen to the lectures of Special Guests: Dr. Didlier Pittet and Dr. Wing-Hong Seto. Representing the The Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infectious Disease (PSMID) in this gathering is the current president, Dr. Mario M. Panaligan.
